We wasted no time getting to work after breakfast and chapel.  Linn, Ken and Dave started the sidewalk building project. The girls that came up to teach went to their classrooms and the rest of us sorted the supplies we brought up. Micah and I then went and visited the school.  We sat in on a kindergarten class and helped the kids with their schoolwork. Then it was picture time. The kids love to get their picture taken and then look at it on the camera. This goes on for some time. It is a great way to get to know them. It amazes me how happy most of these kids are considering most of them were abandoned, lost their parents to HIV or tortured.



The rest of the day was a more little laid back. There were issues with the construction project that put it on hold. This is where the flexibility part of missions comes in. So Caroline (Mama Zipporah’s daughter) took us on a tour of the surroundings of Huruma. It was neat to see a little more of Kenya. Such a beautiful country. That evening we got the team together to do some devotions and share about our experiences.


Mama Zipporah spoke out of Proverbs 1:33 this morning. “but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” God takes care of us when we are obedient. He will never give us a task that we can’t do without His help. It doesn’t mean it goes the way we want it to. But He is always there when we seek His will and listen.
