The Georgia Dome is where the main sessions for Passion take place and where we gather together as one body. So where does 60,000 students go for community groups and break outs? The Georgia World Congress Center is a massive 3.9 million square foot building with several levels of exhibit halls and rooms. It is joined with the Phillips Arena, Centennial Park, the Georgia Dome and the CNN center. Despite its size, there were still large crowds of people everywhere as the students at Passion pretty much took over downtown Atlanta for the week.

It was finally here. I’ve been looking forward to this trip for some time. There were about 30 of us from Camber headed to Atlanta to go to Passion 07. Some of the leaders headed out before us to check into our hotel. Ryan led the second party of us that would be flying out on New Years Eve. I brought some party supplies for the countdown on the plane. The cool thing is that a some of us got upgraded to first class. I was sat next to Shauna and her and we enjoyed a chicken dinner with some wine. It was fun as the pilot counted down to midnight and we make noise with our horns and noisemakers. We wandered around the Atlanta airport and found our way to the MARTA that took us to Centennial Olympic Park where we stayed at the Embassy Suites. Ron Merrell was there waiting for us and let us know that there were tons of drunk people from the Widespread Panic concert everywhere. We checked in (I was in a room with about 8 guys) and headed to a late night cafe called Landmark before crashing.
