Even though I slept good, I woke up with a heavy heart. I was grieving for my family. I hate the brokenness in this world and what it has done to my family. God led me to some passages of scripture that provided me with some comfort.
Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Galatians 6:6-10
When you’re weary in life’s struggles, find strength in the Lord.
We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I was happy that it contained a lot of fruit – plantains, mango, cantaloupe.. yum! Dr. Hugo thanked us for coming a shared a passage that God led him to this morning. It was Matthew 19:16-30 and it talks about leaving our loved ones behind to go do God’s work. He mentioned to us how we left our families behind to come on this mission trip and that God would bless us for it. I love his heart for the Lord and the encouraging words he gives.
They were splitting us up this morning. Some were headed back to Monte Carlo to finish up the cattle and the rest of us were headed to Tercera Calle to do some chickens.
