So I’m really enjoying doing more outdoor activities. I was pretty athletic in high school, but really didn’t ‘push’ myself. I ran track and played soccer. But even today, I’m really a not fan of playing the usual sports like basketball or golf that people normally play. My divorce opened up a door for me to start trying new things in life. I try and keep the running thing going by signing up for 5K’s here and there. I always loved playing sand volleyball in high school. Phil started up having people from the church playing weekly a year ago. Its been a fun option for me on Saturdays. Then I started really getting into hiking. The people from my Lifegroup hike almost every week and now we go quite a bit. Good conversation, good scenery. I year ago I bought a bike. I love my bike. I hadn’t ridden one since I was in high school. Now you will see my running around on it here and there (not much in the summer though..) Then my passion for racquetball came back. I bought a racket and some glasses. Totally loving that. The kids are into it as well. I swim every week at the gym as well. I appreciate the tips Erin gave me awhile back on breathing techniques. It really is a good workout. This past weekend, Missy recommended indoor rock climbing. I will admit that I have always been nervous to try it. But we had fun. Its been really cool this past couple of years discovering things I like to do and keeping busy. It’s why my TV is hardly on anymore.
