So I have a new favorite word… Radiance. Lately every time I come across that word in the Bible, it just gets me going. When I think of radiance, I think of the sun and how it shines all day… protruding its beams of light on us. Those beams of light up this what would be a dark world. God’s radiance affects us. In Exodus, it says when Moses spent time with God, his face was radiant from being in God’s presence. Being in God’s presence changed Moses’s appearance. God’s radiance and glory was being reflected off of Moses. So I was thinking about how I want God’s radiance to reflect off of me. I want those that don’t know Christ to see God’s radiance reflected off of me and my life. One of my favorite verses is Matthew 5:16 – “..let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”. We are to be like the stars in the sky. God wants us to let others see Him in us. His radiance changes us so we can be a light to others. And he wants us to not hide this light. I love this! Radiance….such a great word and illustration of God.
