Living a life that Matters

This morning I woke up super early to the sound of rain. I love it when it rains. I really wanted to start my day in God’s presence. I had talked to a few people earlier in the week about hiking. But this morning, I decided to go alone. Still somewhat dark out, I started on my hike. The smell of the rain was all around me. It was amazing. I hiked to the peak of the mountain and pulled one of  the only two things I brought with me – water and my little pocket Bible. I read a couple of chapters and and just enjoyed the beauty of nature. I struggle from time to time making alone time for myself. I was so relaxed and at peace. Then I looked at the city all around me. It looked so busy. I wanted so bad for everyone to just take a time out and experience what I was experiencing. I have a lot of things on my list to do today. I have decided to save them for another day and keep this peace alive for the day.
