I was at Target. The Christmas stuff is out and in full force. I didn’t celebrate x-mas last year because I was going through tough times. Plus my ex got all the x-mas decorations. So this will be a whole adventure in my approach to x-mas. I’m single and live in an apartment. Never been in that situation at Christmas time. I always had someone to share it with and a big house that I had to get on a ladder and hang lights on. I’ve planned some fun stuff with my boys and started my x-mas shopping for them. But I want this year to be special for me. Christ is in control of my life and I want to honor his birth in a special way. I’ve also made some incredible friends this year and I want to share my appreciation that I have each one of them in a special way. I’m already signed up to work at most of the church services on x-mas eve, so I’m getting my service in for the day. And I’m sure I whip up something from some recipe books to eat. Starbucks is always a fun hangout around this time – love the seasonal flavors! And of course when it gets cold, I love to pile on the layers of clothes. I guess you can say that I slowly getting in the Christmas spirit a little early also.
